Presentation: Landscape Architect Jean Garbarini

  • Mill City Museum 710 South 2nd Street Minneapolis, MN, 55401 United States (map)

Landscape architect Jean Garbarini, ASLA, PLA, will discuss the role of landscape architects in historic preservation, while tracing her own journey as a practitioner. Her work has included consulting on a National Historic Landmark and Minnesota icons such as Glensheen, Union Depot, the Cathedral of Saint Paul, and the Minneapolis Grand Rounds. Looking through the lens of project examples, the presentation will explore the subjective world of preservation in both planning, design and construction.

Parking is available in a ramp across the street or along South Second Street at metered spaces. The event will run from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Coffee and baked goods will be available, as will the usual great questions and commentary. The event is free, though donations are gratefully accepted to offset the food costs.
