Preservation Advocacy Exhibit

  • Hennepin History Museum (map)

In partnership with the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota and Preserve Minneapolis, Hennepin History Museum is hosting a pop-up exhibit during the month of August focusing on grassroots efforts to preserve homes, buildings, and communities in Hennepin County. Through both historic and modern photos, interactive activities, and community conversations, we invite you to engage in discourses around preservation and its intersections with communities, politics, and sustainability.

Join us on August 17 for a conversation about advocating for the places that are important to us and how we can be preservationists in our own communities. We will hear from preservation advocates involved with saving places– from the historic homes of the Healy Block Residential Historic District, the Minneapolis Pioneers & Soldiers Memorial Cemetery, and the Burma Shave building.
