Between 1892 and 1915, at least 14 prominent architects actively built private residences as well as classy apartments in Lowry Hill East. They were as diverse in their designs as they were in the clients they served – from Harry Wild Jones to Purcell & Elmslie; from Colonial Revival to Arts and Crafts; from bankers to grocers.
The tour will cover approximately 8 square blocks and is not ADA accessible.
Tour guide Kathy Kullberg is an active preservationist and avid house historian who is a longtime resident of Lowry Hill East. Kathy is always discovering the true lives of former residents and their contribution to Minneapolis's past and present.
